Allison G. Cummings, MD

Bio

I am a family physician with a deep passion for patient care and improving health systems.

Everyone deserves a doctor who will listen, answer questions, and translate medical jargon into understandable language.

As a fierce patient advocate, I aspire to make our health care system easier to navigate, more accessible, and more equitable.

I am comfortable taking care of patients across all ages and in a variety of settings, with special clinical interests in mental health care, family planning and medical complexity.

QI Experience

Continuous systems improvement is foundational to my clinical practice.  I am comfortable with the logistics of basic QI work, including building and running reports within Epic, performing PDSA cycles, and creating process maps and run charts.

My goal moving forward is to perform QI work at a larger scale, through stakeholder identification and engagement, and empowering all members of the healthcare team to see QI work as accessible, interesting, and rewarding.
